Amazing GracePerhaps I didn't fully understand then, as I sang "Amazing Grace" with a fully mended throat at the festival, that I was singing about the very power that had healed me just the day before. The Savior's Atonement had blessed me that day; His grace was the source of my healing.
Salvation: By Grace or by Works?
~ Kristen Nicole Cardon, Ensign, April 2012We are saved by grace—saved by Christ's love from physical and spiritual death; saved by Christ's love from Adam's fall and our own; saved from sin and transgression by the grace or gifts of God.
Tough Topics: Are You Saved by Grace or Works?
~ Gerald N. Lund, Ensign, April 1981
We receive God's grace because of the Atonement. We can't raise ourselves from the dead, so the Resurrection is an example of His grace. We can't purify ourselves from sin, so the Lord's forgiveness is another example of grace. But before He will forgive us, we must repent—that's our part, our works.

Grace: LDS Resource Topics
~ Brad Wilcox, BYU Devotional Address, July 12, 2011Through the grace of God, everyone who has lived will be resurrected—our spirits will be reunited with our bodies, never again to be separated. Through His grace, the Lord also enables those who live His gospel to repent and be forgiven.
Grace: Guide to the Scriptures
~ LDS Resource TopicsSuch divine help or strength is given through the mercy and love of God. Every mortal person needs divine grace because of Adam's fall and also because of man's weaknesses.
Grace: LDS Newsroom Topics
~ LDS Guide to the Scriptures: GraceWithout grace, or Christ's divine gift, mankind could not be resurrected from death or overcome the inevitable effects of sin. However, Mormons believe that individuals also have an important part to play. According to Latter-day Saint beliefs, God desires not only to save His children from death, but also to help them grow and become like Him.
~ LDS Newsroom Topics - Ponder: How can learning about grace lead you to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ?
- Challenge: Learn more about grace through the words of living prophets.
